Our first London ExCel expo!
/On the 21st and 22nd November, we attended the Futurescape Outdoor Living & Wellness Expo and the London ExCel. We had an absolutely brilliant two days, chatting to lots of new people and learning about your businesses, as well as sharing our passion for what we do here at Shire Oak. We can’t wait for next year already!
Our talented workshop team traveled up a day early, armed with all the kit to set up our stand and make it look amazing. They were not faced with an easy task: build a 3m x 3m English Oak wood gazebo, complete with Cedar shingles roof, and a 3.5m x 3m English Oak pergola, in just one day.
To make it quick and easy (and to brag about our unique roof panel service!), we prepared the 4 roofing panels ahead of time. This means our woodworkers fixed the Western Red Cedar shingles to the Oak Tile Batten for each panel, and also prepared 4 hip shingle panels. Once the team got to the show and had built the gazebo frame, they were ready to simply slot the pre-formed panels straight onto the rafters and fix them down.
Thanks to the great set up, we had an absolutely brilliant two days! Our natural English Oak wood seemed to really catch the eye of passers by, in amongst all the gadgets. We loved sharing our passion for everything we do here at Shire Oak, as well as meeting lots of great new faces that we hope to work with in the future!
