The number one question we get from customers is regarding the oak posts. How do I fix them down? Do I fix the posts into the ground? The answer is: you don’t have to do anything.

Your wooden posts either go straight onto the ground, or, on this one, the oak gazebo is sat on staddle stones. They’re not needed; they’re mostly aesthetic. We still haven’t glued, or fixed, or cemented them.

Because of the weight of the gazebo, it could be put onto patio, decking; you could just have four paving slabs on a lawn. We’ve been saying it for 20 years: because of the weight of it, there’s absolutely no need to get into fixing them down.
