Shire Oak’s 2 bay garages are an extremely popular design and offer great flexibility as an out building. Many different features can be incorporated within the structure to create a bespoke building.
Importantly 2 bay Oak garages don’t usually require planning permission or a building notice as they are below 4m at the ridge and smaller than 30m2. It is important to check with your local authority first.
Shire Oak has a wide range of custom options for a two bay garage. These include log stores, secure rooms, internal partitions and side isles.
Our kits include the oak frame, intermediate softwood studs, softwood weather boarding (usually douglas fir) and a softwood roof structure.
At the bottom of the page is a two and a half bay garage which has allowed space for a seperate room and seperate entry door. This is a popular option on garages as workshop or secure storage area.
These are examples of the plans produced by Shire Oak for two bay oak garages through our free design service which produces these cad images and illustrations. The design process of a Shire Oak garage is extremely flexible allowing for any ideas or requirements to be easily met before construction begins.
Initially we receive inquiries, ideas or rough designs and we produce a drawing that can then be tweaked and altered to produce a final plan that is suitable for the project.
